The
closing ceremony of the yearly 5 aside grassroots football holds this
Sunday 12th October at Campos Mini Stadium. The State government through
the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development in collaboration
with the largest mobile telecommunications in Africa are set to crown to
be champions across the three categories prize monies and opportunities
to embark on foreign playing tour.
Eight teams
have qualified for the grand finale in both male and U-15 categories,
whilst four teams will slug it out in the female category.
Olabisi
Street from Kosofe, Palace Square of Agege Akerele Street from Surulere
are among teams that qualified from the male category .
Tawbedrock School, Surulere, Mary Anne school,Lagos Island, J. J Boys,
Yaba and COD United, Iru Victoria Island are among the eight teams that
made it to the finals, whilst Arizona Queens, Igando-Ikotun, Mainland
Queens, Mainland, Raising Dears Queen, Agege are in the finals as well.
We
are delighted that out of over 500 teams the nest teams are now in the
finals that promises to be the most remarkable finals.
All stakeholders, football lovers are looking to this finals.
We
are delighted to also have both schools and private football academies
teams in the finals. The U - 15 Category is a veritable platform for our
youth to showcase their God giving talents and live their dreams.
