Nigeria
can now boast of six international basketball referees as three of the seven
Nigerian referees who took part in the International Basketball
Association (FIBA) Referees clinic in Contonou, Benin Republic in
october have recieved their international officiating certification from
the World governing body of basketball.
The
new three, Olusegun Adekanmbi, Samuel Sofoluwe and Husseini Musa Gumel
with registration number 28772,28773 and 28774 have now joined the big
three Kingsley Ojeaburu, who officiated at the 2014 FIBA World Cup in
Spain, Tunde Popoola and Yinka Famogbiyele as Nigerian elite
professional sports officials.
Nigeria
now has six eligible refrees for the 2015 Afrobasket championship for
Men and Women in Tunisia and Cameroun respectively and subsequent world
championships at all levels onward.
