Cycology Riding Club got involved in
one of the biggest charity events over the weekend in the 7th
edition of ‘Run For Cure’, an event put together by Child Survival Organisation
of Nigeria(CS-DON) in a bid to tackle the cancer scourge.
The event saw over 120 cyclist
peddle over a distance of 60km with the starting off point being
Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island through Ozumba Mbadiwe,
Adetokunbo Ademola, Ahmadu Bello, Akin Adesola to Ikoyi through the Falomo
bridge and down Bourdillon road before returning to the start off point.

Mr. Donald Duke was on ground to hand over the trophies to the winners as
Amaechi Okobi came home in first place with American cyclist Mark Pfister
finishing in third. In between the pair though was Tunde Jeje who happens to be
the oldest of all three who made it to the podium.

Duke commended Cycology Riding Club for their continues partnership in the ‘Run
For Cure’ event saying: “Great to see the number of people for this year’s
event. Cycology Riding Club have been massive once again in this awareness
campaign.
“We hope that this will go a long
way in combating cancer in Nigeria as now people know that a healthy lifestyle
and regular exercising is very important,” Mrs Duke concluded.
