Head coach of Nigeria's Super Sand Eagles, Adamu Audu Ejoor, has called on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to engage the team with international friendlies ahead of next year's FIFA beach soccer world cup qualifiers.
Ejoor, whose team had won the Copa Lagos Beach soccer competition three times bowed to the superlative performance of Cote D' Ivoire Beach soccer team that had nine maximum after beating Senegal, Nigeria and Ghana to win the competition.
The coach, who noted that playing Beach soccer friendlies against local teams would not add value to his team, said the board of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, through the Beach soccer competition had enjoined him to submit his programmes for ratification, adding that plans are in top gear to begin a beach soccer league in Nigeria.
He said the Cote D'Ivoire team were very fortunate to defeat his team that is not exposed to regular beach soccer competitions, stressing that he has discovered thirteen players whom he would invite to camp, coupled with the established beach soccer players ahead of the African cup of Nations.
