Pam Fom Says Nigeria Needs A Sports Minister Not Football Minister.

As Nigerians await tomorrow’s announcement of ministerial appointees, the President of the Nigerian Rugby Football Federation, Sir Edward Pam Fom has appealed to the President of Nigeria, Retired General Muhammadu Buhari to put a round peg in a round hole as minister of sports.

Speaking from South Africa where the National team are currently preparing for the Olympics qualifiers, Pam Fom said, in the past, Ministers of football were often appointed rather than sports minister.

He said since we are in the era of change, a minister who knows his onions and has open mind towards other sports federation should be given the chance to reposition the sector.

He finally frowned at some school of thoughts that had been clamuoring for the scraping of the office of the minister of sports as he described them as ignorant.
