NFF President Amaju Pinnick and General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi will be in Accra, Ghana on Tuesday for the Ordinary Congress of the West African Football Union (Zone B).

Top on the agenda of the day is the election of a new president for the Zone, who will serve for the period 2016-2020. Incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is also President of the Ghana Football Association, is challenged by Djibrilla Hima Hamidou of Niger Republic.

According to a statement by Aka Malan, General Secretary of WAFU Zone B, the five candidates for next month’s FIFA presidential election taking place in Zurich have also indicated their interest in presenting their programs to the various FA presidents of the Zone at the Congress.

Already confirmed to be on ground to talk to the WAFU chieftains are Infantino, Prince Ali Hussein of Jordan and Sheikh Salman. Former FIFA Deputy General Secretary Jerome Champagne, also a candidate, will send a message to the Congress, while South African Tokyo Sexwale is yet to confirm his arrival.
