Former Green Eagles forward, Segun Odegbami, says head coach of Nigeria's Super Eagles has stumbled and he needs to bring himself up again in order to justify the confidence repose in him.
Odegbami, while speaking with Sportsweight.blogspot.com, said football in Nigeria was at its lower ebb when Sunday Oliseh came on board as the Super Eagles chief Coach and the nation did not have enough quality football players yet Oliseh was able to raise a team that won some matches which he believed were ordinary matches.
The former international fondly called "Mathematical Segun Odegami",
said Oliseh made a seriously mistake for not informing Nigerian teeming
football fans that he was building a team rather he was being infected
with winning few matches which made him sound as if he could win
tournaments.
While explaining that Oliseh should endeavor to look for football players and influenece Nigeria's domestic league players to build a team, Odegbami, who is one of the supporters of tinker the Super Eagles, said Oliseh would have learnt his lessons from his last experience and he must be very patient to answer critics and teeming Nigerian football fans since they were not patient for dismal performance.
On the possibility of Super Eagles to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Russia, Odegbami, said it would extremely difficult for Nigeria to book a ticket for the World Cup since the nation did not have football players to achieve such feat, stressing that only few Nigerian football players were playing top flight football in Europe and beyond.
While admitting that Super Eagles will qualify for the next African Cup of Nations, Afcons, the forward Nigeria's international said it would take the Nigeria Football Federation,NFF, three to four years to have a proper Super Eagles
