Aranguiz, recovered from the tear he suffered in the Achilles tendon of his right foot and while he is shining at Bayer Leverkusen, Aranguiz, said he was looking ahead to the Copa America as he was on the list of 40 player list of coach Juan Antonio Pizzi.
However, according to him he has not yet secured a place on the final roster. "I really want to be there. I hope to be selected, that the new coach will consider me. But he'll decide if I'm part of the squad or not," remarked the former Universidad de Chile player.
Moreover, Aránguiz referred to his countrymen who are playing in Germany: "Eduardo (Vargas) is a very fast player, very strong and when he has been given playing time he always scores.
