The management of Startimes Nigeria has secured exclusive broadcast rights to show lives matches of this year's Copa America Centenario to the delight of its numerous customers.
This year's edition which mark hundred year of the Copa America, will attract a total of sixteen teams from North and South of America as tall the participating teams will converge on the United States for the competition kicking- off on Friday, third through twenty-third of of June, twenty- sixteen.
The company's Head of Public Relations, Isreal Bolaji, who made this statement in an interactive session with the media practitioners, said their customers across the continent would have the opportunity to watch world football stars like Lionel Messi of Argentina, Michael Bradley of USA, Kaka of Brazil, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez of Mexico, James Rodriguez of Colombia and Luis Suarez Uruguay, featuring in the tournament.
He said the Copa America Centenario which will be attended by five of the ten best teams in the world as ranked by FIFA in the month of April, will be televised by Startimes Nigeria to over two hundred African countries, adding that the matches would be shown on Channel Sports World and Sports Focus channel.
With a bouquet of One thousand and two hundred naira, Bolaji, said the clients would have the opportunity to win attractive gifts such as Very Important Person ticket to watch German's Bundesliga, start prize of one thousand dollars and consolatory gifts.
As part of efforts to keep lasting relationship with the media, the company organized a Five- A- Side- Football Competition between the company's staff and the media as the novelty match which took place at the Fun Turf Factory, Lekki, ended two goals apiece.
The tournament will start on Friday, June 3, with an opening Group A match between United States and Colombia at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
