As part of effort to make the players of Remo Stars FC comfortable ahead of the league match against El- Kanemi FC, in the Nigeria Professional Football League,NPFL, the club's management has concluded plans to convey the players and officials by air to Maiduguri.
Its chief coach, Fatai Osho, said the move became imperative since the team's priority was to secure a point in Maiduguri as Rangers of Enugu was able to pick a point against El- Kanemi FC, in Maiduguri, adding that the club had quality players who could assist the squad to survive relegation.
On the match against Nasarawa United, Osho, who attributed the team's mental toughness of the team to the One- nil win, said he charged his players to raise their game in order to secure a win against Nasarawa United which according to him was blessed with experienced and quality players.
He believed that the barren draw against Abia Warriors FC would spur and boost the players morale when his team travels to Maiduguri for the league match, stressing that the club's position on the league's log was not a true reflection of the team's performance on the field of play
Dufegha Eric of Remo Stars scored the team's only goal against Nasarawa United to secure maximum three points.
In another related development, the head coach of Nasarawa United, Kabiru Sulaimon Dogo, says the club's focus is to pick a continental ticket to play either in the CAF Champions league or the Confederation Cup.
Dogo, whose team lost by a lone goal to Remo Stars FC, says the team's technnical crew and the players would approach the Federation Cup and the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, seriously to qualify in order to qualify for the continental club's soccer fiesta.
While condenming the attitude of match centre referee, the coach, says the officiating officials pave the match for Remo Stars FC to secure a one- nil win after issuing a red card to Jide Willians in the second half.
The coach, explained the team's technical crew would correct the mistakes commited in the match in order to be in good frame of mind against Enyimba FC of Aba.
