Dragons Rugby Football Club of Lagos formerly known as Addax won the exciting inaugural Cresta Kwara Rugby 7‟s tournament which came to a close over the weekend.
Barewa Rugby Club of Kano , Zaria, Plateau, Benue, Edo, Ife, Dragons, Racing, Police College and two teams from Kwara State,Dynamite Rugby Club and Kwara Rugby Club are among the twelve rugby clubs that contested for honours at the tournament.
The cup final was won by Dragons after defeating Racing Rugby club of Lagos by 17 points to 7.
Barewa which provided the most valuable junior player and the player of the tournament beat Jos Rugby Club by 29 points to 5 in the plate final.
The Nigerian Rugby Football Federation Chief Operating Officer and Tournament organizer, Akin Akintola, said the tournament was a resounding success and the level of rugby was of high standards..
