
The Nigeria Supporters Club has concluded plans to start mobilisation programmes in readiness for the first ever FIFA World Cup on African soil in South Africa.
Its President General, Rauf Ladipo, said the move became imperative to enable the club raise enough funds to be in South Africa and also to have enough Nigerian football fans to join the club to South Africa.
Ladipo, said the gesture would also encourage the Super Eagles to perform beyond expectations as the club has been instrumental totheir success in international tournments.
According to him, plans are in top gear to organise to a dinner night where dignitaries would be invited to raise funds to execute their programmes.
He said two thousand memebers of the Supporters Club would converge in South Africa for the socer mundial as he calld on teeming Nigerian soccer fans to support the clubs quest in ensuring that Super Eagles excel in South Africa.
He said the club would soon move to Abuja to sensitize soccer fans as the club would also visit some state's Governors to support them to storm South Africa with quality musical instrument to cheer the Super Eagles to victories.
The Supporters Club Boss, said they would not be threatened by South African Vuvuzula as they would acquired two hundred trumpets couple with some drums to support the Super Eagles.
He said the club has designed a programme tagged Up Nigeria, stressing that the programme would enable ten lucky Nigerians to join them in South Africa after sending a text message to 3306.
He said the club has informed FIFA and CAF of its intension to storm South Africa with two thousand members as the world and continental bodies with meet with the club today in Lagos to fashion out what would cost the club to be in South Africa.
