The centre of excellence, Lagos State has been chosen as venue for elections into the executive board of the Nigeria Football Federation slated for August 21st.

Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Barrister Abdulkarim Mustapha disclosed this in Abuja today while presenting the guidelines for the much awaited polls to the press.

Another highlight in the electoral time table is the Presidential Live debate fixed for August 12 where the incumbent,Sanni Lulu Abdulahi who has declared his desire for a second term will slug it out with other contestants in that historic event, the first in the history of Nigerian football.

Collection of forms will start on the seventh of June as the Committee had fixed twenty third of June as the deadline for submission.

According to the Electoral Committee, all prospective candidates would be screened on June 16th and all petitions arising thereafter will be addressed between June 17 to 20th.

The official list of all eligible candidates will then be presented to the press on July 21 and the elections will hold on August 21.

Meanwhile, the guideline explicitly stated that candidates interested in the executive board positions must have been actively involved in football administration for a minimum of four years.
