As part of efforts to fulfil its promises, the Lagos State is organising a competition for the best three teams of third season of MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship at the Zoo Lake Sports Club, Parkview Johannesburg, South Africa.
The State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele, made this known in South Africa while meeting with sports journalists on the plans for the winners of the championship.
The Commissioner for Sports, said the tournament would come up Tuesday morning in a bid to give the players opportunity to relax ahead of tomorrow's Super Eagles match against Greece.
Adeniji-Adele, said the competition which would be in a round robin format would played among Bablo Street of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area, Bibire Street of Igando Ikotun Local Council Development Area and Adeniji Adele Street of Lagos Island Local Government.
According to him, the sponsor,MTN Nigeria and the State Government has approved a sum of ten thousand Rands as cash prize for the tourney of which the winner would get Five thousand Rands as the runners up grab Three thousand Rands while the tird pace team smile home with Two thousand Rands.
