The Nigeria Table Tennis Federation has promised to make the country proud at this year's African Junior Table Tennis Championship billed for this month in Congo Brazzaville.
The team left Nigeria on Monday with ten table tennis players in the male and female categories alongside five officials to the championship.
The Secretary of the Federation, Segun Oguntade, said the selected young ping pongers were picked after series of thorough trials where over twenty pingers in the male and female categories were invited to camp at the Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.
Oguntade, said a total of ten table tennis players were selected to represent the country at the African Junior Table Tennis Championship as they were being exposed to series of tournamnets prior to the tourney.
According to the list made available to Arena Sports, Ojo Onaolapo top the list of Male ping pongers followd by Rasheed Azeez, Shobayo Bolaji,Ogunlade Azeez, and Omotayo Olajide.
The list female ping pongers include, Effiom Janet, Kazeem Fatima, Edem Bassey, Bello Fatimo and Asaju Bisola.
According to NTTF, former African female Table Tennis number one player, Bosede Kaffo, would handle the female squad while Omoniyi Adetoun has been assigned to coach the male team.
