
A member of the Confederation of African Football Media Committee, Aisha Falode, has vowed to convince other Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Association to regenerate the dwindling standard of Nigerian football if she is voted as a board member of NFA.
Aisha Falode, who would come out under the South South platform,made this statement at a forum with sports journalists with the Theme:It's Time To Rescue Our Football.
The versatile Female Sports journalist, said she would use her vast experince in football management to introduce football company where the Nigeria Football Association would generate funds to accomplish its diverse programmes.
She said FIFA realised three point four billion dollars during the last 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa because the Federation has a football business, adding that FIFA never rely on the money from the sales of ticket based on the comitment of the body in moving football beyond its present position.
According to her, the standard of football in Europe is rated very high because the continent's Football Federations are emulating FIFA to uplift the stadard of football through football company.
While promising to always consult with her constituency, Falode, said the standrad of Nigerian female league would have been more lucrative but the NFA Executive Committee fails to adopt the blue print of Interim Management Committee.
She explained that the Interim Management Committee charged the NFA to merge the female league with the Nigeria Premier League as the gesture would have created a platform for corporate sponsors for the Nigerian Female League.
