
Head of the Nigeria's Olympic Team, Austin Eguavoen, has released the list of twenty football players that would confront Liberia in this Sunday's All African Games qualifier as the team depart on Thursday morning for Monrovia, Liberia.
Nineteen football players observed Wednesday’s evening training session at the main bowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, as the team's technical crew focused much on long range passes and ability of the midfielders to hold onto the football.
The final list of the football players which was made available to Arena Sports by the team's Media Officer, Arafat Aliu, include Dele Ajiboye, Femi Thomas,Theophilous Afelukan, Nnamdi Oduamadi, Ebok Edet, Kingsley Udoh, Emergi Otekpa and Wasiu Sowemimo.
Nurudeen Orelesi, Amodu Usman, Rabiu Ibrahim, Ehiosun Ekigho, Uchechi Daniel, Mba Chiemeze, Reuben Gabriel, Saka Ayo, chibuzon Okonkwo,Ofem Inah and Maduabuchi Josiah are also included.
According to Austin Eguavoen, Arinze Ikenna who plays in Finland, Micheal Essang from Uruguay and Agbolahan Salami have been dropped due to positioning.
Sportsweight.blogspot.com reports that the team's technical crew is still expecting Chibuzor Okonkwo whom according to Eguavoen was informed lately to report to camp, adding that any of the dropped payers could replace Okonkwo if he failed to show today before the team depart Nigeria for the match on Sunday.
