We Underrated Vijana Stars, Nosa.

Lillestrom of Norway Midfielder Nosa Igiebor has admitted that Players of the Dream Team V under rated the Vijana stars of Tanzania in the first leg second round Olympic game qualifier decided at the weekend in Dares-Salaam.

The Dream Team V fell to their first defeat in the qualifying series following a 82nd lose of concentration that led to a goal from the Young Taifa stars star striker Ulimwengu Emmanuel.

“It’s sad, it’s kind of difficult to say but I think the main point here is that we underrated the boys and that's just the truth about it. When we looked at them we thought we won the game even before it started. I think that's just the only reason. If it comes to the game we were far better than them in everything, we had 18 chances at goal and could not convert anything. They had their only chance and they scored. I think we under rated the boys that’s just the big problem there” He explained.

The Midfielder who has four goals to his name so far in the qualifiers, appealed to Nigerians to put the defeat behind them promising that the return leg will be a different kettle of fish.

“I know Nigerians are disappointed right now. There is no excuse for failure, we failed and I apologies to Nigerians on behalf of my colleagues but I also want to promise Nigerians that the return leg will be a different ball game.” “We just want to promise them that we are going to kill them from the blast of the whistle. For everything that happened in Dares-Salaam we have learnt our lessons and we are happy that we have a chance to correct our mistakes” Nosa added.

The Dream team V will arrive the country by noon on Tuesday as the return leg holds on June 18th in Benin City.
