
The General Manager of Supersport Nigeria, Felix Awogu, has said that the conflict between the Nigeria Football Federation and te Nigeria Premier League is potent enough to jeopardise the development of Nigerian football league.
Awogu, who made this statement in an interview with Sportsweight.blogspot.com during the outfit presentation of New Football Season Plans at GET Arena,Lekki,said lack of organisation structur in the administration of running of Nigerian foootball was worrisome as the power play on who has the authourity of running the Nigeria League coupled with series of court cases on the leardership of NPL has paved the way for Nigerian league players to deem it necessay to feature in the Kenyan League.
He said the Nigerian League which was rated the second best in Africa after South African leagu, is gradually losing its position to the Kenyan league that has a sponsorship deal that is far better the Nigeria Premier League, adding that the sign on fee of football players in the Kenyan league is higher than what is obtainable in the NPL.
According to him, Supersport has recently acquired a brand new Outside Broadcast Van,O.B.Van, to add value to the Kenya league due to its organised structure in the area of timing, adding tat it is very hard to ascertain whether a particular match in the NPL could be beam to the world as being scheduled on their menu list to their esteemed customers.
To him,Supersport is investing heavily in ptomoting te NPL but the admnistrators saddld with the responsibility of running the league are frustrating the league with series of crises bedevilling the league.
