Written By sportsweight.blogspot.com on Thursday, July 21, 2011 | 2:15 AM

Former Super Eagles golakeeper trainer, Joe Erico, has urged the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to uplift the standard of Nigerian Women's Fotball League in order to help the Super Falcons excel in international competitions.

Erico, who commended the Falcons for qualifying for the just concluded FIFA Women's World Cup and also beating Canada in one of its group matches, said theFalcons were not strong enough in the area of tactics and set pieces to contend with their counterparts from europe are well fortified for the tourney.

According to him, the NFF is yet to design a well formidable football structure for the Nigerian Women football where young football players would be engaged on developmental programmes, stressing that the Nigerian women football league is not potent to give the Falcons rewuired incentives o become world champion.

He advised the NFF to seek corporate sponsors to boost the image of Nigerian Women Football League.
