Spur Sports To Market Lagos Junior League.

The board of Lagos Junior League has offered Spur Sports the rights to the League which will tentatively kick off on the 16th of September, 2011 at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
This was revealed on Wednesday by the Managing Director of the Spur Sports, Seun Shotonwa, said the Lagos Junior League was a viable content that would attract the attention of the corporate bodies not in the terms of their ability to get brand mileage but also to create a platform where they would partner the corporate bodies.
While acknowledging that the league was an intiative of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development during the reign of the former commissioner for sports, Prince Ademola Adeniji Adele,Shotonwa, said they would annex the opportunity in the league which according to him would generate the sponsorship drive for the League in a bid to ensure that the league has the finacial ability and capability to run a befitting league.
He explained that the selling point of the league was the grassroot intiative which tend to empower the young talented football players,stressing that the league would grow gradually on annual basis with the support of the corporate bodies.

Secretry of Lagos Junnior League, Taofik Aromire, said the league was hinged on officiating, coaching and verification in a bid to regenerate the standard of the league which he believed would be a pool of recruiting young football players for the nation's age grade national team as well as the Nigerian Premier League clubsides.
Acording to him, the management of the League has concluded plans to eradicate uncertified football coaches as they want to align with the Lagos State Football Association that had initiated coaches assessment programme through a partnership programme with the English F.A,adding that the scheme would enable the league coaches to travel to England to obtain UEFA license certificate.
