Tade Azeez Charges Newly Sworn- In Board Members

The chairmen and board members to direct the affairs of the Divisional Football Associations in Lagos State have been sworn in .
The Associations were sworn- in on Thursday alongside their board members immediately after a thorough election which came up at the media centre of the Teslim Balogun Stadium.
Chairman of the electoral committee, Tijani Azeez, who commended his members for a thorough job, said the calibre of candidates that constitute board members of each Divisional Football Association are tested hands in football circle whose credibility to regenerate the standard of football are not in doubt.
Azeez, who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, said the efforts of the committee to visit each of the zones that make up the Divisional Football Association helped to bring out credible candidate with genuine interest to lioft the standrad of football.
He said the need for the DFA's to move in line with the vision of the Lagos State Football Association of reforming football in compliance with international standard geared the committee to embark on a tour of DFA's to sensitise them on the reason why they need to contest for elective positions.
Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, Tade Azeez, who commended the electoral committee for living up to expectations, charged the newly elected DFA's board members to work assidous with a mind of complementing the efforts of the LSFA towards adding value to football development.
Azeez, said the DFA's should endeavor to embark on aggressive grassroot football development programmes and they must also seek the support of the corporate bodies in sponsoring regular football tournaments.
The Chairman of Lagos State Sports Council, Agboola Dabiri, who was optimistic that the newly elected board memebrs of the DFA's would live up to expectations, said most of them have been invloved in the running of grassroot football for several years, adding that their wealth of experiences in grassroot football would fortify them to build good structure for football development.
Dabiri, urged the newly sworn - in DFA's board members to emulate Dotun Coker, the outgone Chairman of Lagos Divisional Football Association, who according to him has added value to grassroot football through regular organisatio of BOSKA/LDFA Soccer Cup.
Ifalade Oyekan emerged the newly elected chairman of LDFA with Akanni Olawale and Alhaji Oluwo Fatai as board members.
Frances Oladele Gbajumo was the sole candidate who vied for the chairmanship position of Ikeja Divisional Football Association with Prince OLuwatoyin Akapo and Chief Mrs Jumoke Durosola as members.
Senior Apostle Akin Aina was the chairman of Badagry Divisional Football Association with Samuel Omolola and Anthony Ekhtor as members while Alhaji Mohammed Ogidi with Jelili Ogunmuyiwa and Adebowale Ogunade as members.
Prince Olusegun Oshinaike is the new chairman of Epe Divisional Football Association with Bashiru Olusumbo as member.
