Nathaniel Boys Whips Lagos Island East.

Nath Boys began the New Year in full throttle as they cruised past their fierce rivals Lagos Island East on Saturday morning.

Nath Boys continued their ever improving form and controlled proceeding right from the whistle and had a deserved penalty which was waved off by the centre referee.

The lekki boys were constantly floating balls into the Lagos Island East area and the pressure payed off in the 33rd minute as Rauf Kola Bello grabbed his 5th goal of the season with a beautifully executed header leaving the island goalie rooted to the spot.

Alade Muyiwa came off the bench and levelled affairs for the visitors early in the second half bringing has season tally to 12 goals in 8 matches.

But their joy was short lived when diminutive forward Aminu Abubakar restored his sides lead in the 55th minute. Apatira Damilola then compounded the woes of the Island boys with a brace which sealed an outstanding victory to the Nath Boys.

Despite playing majority of the match with a man down Ikorodu west totally dominated an ill organised Lagos Mainland side.

With goals from Ismail Sunday, Michael Chibueze, Fadeyi Sunday and Niyi Odunlade the Ikorodu team showed that they can bounce back from a their loss to Apapa last year.
