Ayorinde Charges Match Commissioner, Referees To Live Up To Expectations.

Match Commisioners and football referees expected to handle matches in the Season 5, MTN Street Soccer Championship have been urged to align with the vision of the Lagos State Government in improving the standard of football.
A veteran football referee, Engineer Bola Ayorinde, who made this statement during a two day workshop for the match commissioners and football referees for the Five- A- Side football competition, said the toournament was part of empowerment programme to keep the youth out of social vices and also to pave the way for them to excel in their chosen profession.
While praising the Local Organising Committee,LOC, for its determination to surpass the achievement of previous editions, Ayorinde, said the seminar was geared at acquinting the participants with the latest rules and regulations of a Five- A- Side football tourney as he urged the selected match commissionres and referees to be transparent.
He explained that the organisers had the right to discard any erring commisioner or referee who fail to live up to expectations.
Over three hundred teams have so far registered for the Season 5, MTN Street Soccer Championship scheduled to kick off next month as the tourney football teams in the male, female as well as the corporate bodies.
