Ikhana Wants Fans Support.

Super Falcons’ head coach, Kadiri Ikhana, has urged Lagos fans to come out in their numbers to support the team when they take on Zimbabwe on Saturday.

The Falcons played in front of a huge crowd at the Rufaro Stadium in Harare, and Ikhana believes that Lagos can also command a large crowd in support of the team.

"I will like to urge all football fans in Lagos to come out and support the team on Saturday. The game against Zimbabwe is a very crucial one and the fans can be the 12th-man in our team if they give us the support we need to defeat them."

 "In Zimbabwe, the Rufaro Stadium had about 20,000 fans and it was an amazing atmosphere. Even though their team lost by 2-0, they still had the support of their fans and we pray to receive the same in Lagos.

" The Falcons defeated Zimbabwe in the first-leg of the African Women's Championship qualifying match by 2-0, and now looks set to seal the tie in the second leg to be played in Teslim Balogun Stadium on Saturday June 16.

"Nigerians should expect a victory from us. The players are very fit and strong and they have been working hard in the past couple of months, and I have confidence in them."

"Zimbabwe is not a weak opponent but I believe we have the players that can complete the job on Saturday. All we need from Nigerians is their support."

A victory for the Super Falcons will ensure they defend their title in Equatorial Guinea in November 2012. Entry into the stadium will be free on Saturday.

The team will have an open training session by 4pm on Thursday.
