Jimoh Abubakar Emerges MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship Youngest Referee.

As Season 5, MTN Lagos Street Soccer kick off in July, the participating will be shocked when Jimoh Abubakar, a 19 year old football referee, stand as the centre referee to officiate matches in the forthcoming Five- A- Side football tournament.
Abubakar, while speaking with Sportsweight.blogspot.com, said he was introduced to the Lagos State Referee Council through a friend after his school leaving certificate and he never regret joining the profession at a tender age as it gives him an added advantage of becoming Nigeria's young football referee to attain greater height in the profession.
Abubakar, whose ambition is to become an Engineer from the University of Lagos, Akoka, said he would stood by the rules and regulations of officiating and would not be intimidated by the physique of any football player as his aspirations is to handle CAF and FIFA organised football tournaments.
The young football referee, whose is on grade 3, said he was timid hen he was first assigned to handle a match during the Season 3, MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championship but he was able to overcome it with the support of his suprior officers who tutored him about how best to handle match situation.
