The former Portsmouth forward hit form in the shirt of Montpelier last season, scored eight goals in 34 appearance to help his side to win the French league tittle and he is expected to play a key role in the 2012/2013 UEFA champions.

The striker through his foundation, the John Utaka Foundation, visited the Hearts of Gold Children's Hospice, in Surulere where he donated food stuff and valuable items to the home.
Utaka was delighted to return to the Hospice for the second time since he started the foundation in 2010."What motivated my visit there today to give back to the society and help the less privilege."I have been here before actually this where i started two years and for me it is a task to do this" Utaka added.
The player revealed that his Foundation which was launched in London earlier this year will organise a fund raising in December and help more homes across the country.
Founder, Hearts of Gold Children Hospice, Mrs Laja Adedoyin, commended Utaka for coming back to donate to the home."I am happy and am very happy for him because whatever you do in life whether you are making money.It is always good to come back and to show some hings.We are very happy for what he has done."
