The Logo, Mascot and Website for the Eighteenth National Sports Festival, tagged EKO 2012 has been unveiled.
Speaking at the official unveiling ceremony which took place on Thursday at the Muson Centre, Onikan, the Deputy Governor, Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire, who explained that the event marked the formal countdown of the EKO 2012, said the games Local Organising Committee, has been working tirelessly to host a successful event slated for November, 2012.
The Deputy Governor, said renovation works had commenced at designated venues and the sub - committees are active and working effectively in a bid to leave a lasting impact on the athletes, sports administrators, coaches among others, adding that the logo was created from the state famous Eyo Masquarade which derived from the historical name giving to the state.
According to her, the Logo which is a two dimensional abstract design that is dramatic, is backed with the authourity of the state government with the state's official colours.
