Boko Haram Activities Stall Arsenal Tour Of Nigeria.

The spate of insecurity in Nigeria has been identified as the major reasons why the English Premier League side, Arsenal Football Club decided to postpone its tour of Nigeria scheduled for fifth of August, 2012.
Chairman of Arsenal Supporters Club of Nigeria, Wale Akanni, while speaking with sports journalists in Lagos on Monday, said the bombing of two supermarkets in Abuja prompted the club to invite the agent organizing the tour of Nigeria, Danjan Sports Management for a serious discussion leading to the postponement of the match.
Akanni, said Arsenal F.C had not canceled the tour but postpone it as Arsenal F.C had given Danjan Sports management a period of twelve months to ensure that Nigeria fulfil its aspect of the contractual agreement before the club pay a visit to Nigeria at the end of 2012/2013 premier league season.
Public Relations Officer of Arsenal Supports Club, Emeka Onyenuforo, confirmed that the promoter, Danjay Sports Management would arrive this week to discuss with the appropirate authourities on the need to redeem the nation's image.
He said Arsenal Football Club would still honour the agreed date of fifth of August as some of the club's players would be in Nigeria,adding that the Arsenal F.C would soon reveal its activities for next month before the team arrive Nigeria.
