Iru LCDA Boss Supports MTN Street Soccer Championship.

Chairman, Iru Local Council DeveloPment Area, Abayomi Daramola, has shown his support to the MTN Street Soccer championship, as he visited some of the centres in the council.

Daramola , charged the teams to eschew violence and play to the rules guiding the game. To demonstrate his interest in the wellbeing of the teams, as he ensured that medical facilities were in place in most of the venues he visited.

Also, the defending champion, Lawal Akapo reaffirmed their intention to hold on to the title as the Sakiru Ishola-tutored side made a giant stride to the second stanza of the competition.

Ishola, is optimistic that his side would be first team in the history of the tournament to win the competition back-to-back because his team are technical endowed than other teams featuring in the event.

“We are going to be the first team to win the competition back-to-back because from what we have seen so far, I don’t think any team can wrestle the trophy from us. We are indeed ready to retain the title come September,” Ishola boasted.
