Joe Mensah Commends Lagos State Boxing Hall of Fame

Former Head Coach of the Lagos State Amateur Boxing Association, Joe Mensah, has said the monthly Saturday Boxing show organised by the state Boxing Hall of Fame is a build up to the EKO 2012. Games on November.
The boxing Coach explained that he regular monthly amateur boxing event is gathering a lot of momentum to the extent that it has become an avenue for boxers to exhibit their skills.
"The game is gathering a lot of momentum to the extent that a lot of people have reckon with the amateur boxing show.It is now a recreation where everybody looks up to the event.A great thing for boxing." The organisers have tremendously added value to Amateur boxing and it has also spread its tentacles to the nooks and crannies of boxing clubs in the state.Its growing up to the expected standard"
Mensah, said the competition helped the state’s pugilists to record a scintillating performance at the Garden City Games, in 2011 in Rivers state and there is possibility of surpassing the fest with the level of preparations towards the games.

He said the competition would afford the association to arrays of pugilists to open camping where the boxers in the male and female categories would want to jostle for honours by making the final list to the Games in November.
