Lagos Women Federation Cup Kicks Off Monday

This year’s edition of the Lagos State Women Federation Cup competition is slated to begin on Monday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

In a release made available by the Media Executive of the Lagos State Football Association, Bunmi Ogunyale, Aara Queens were drawn to battle their Yaba Queens counterparts in the opening match of the competition on Monday.

The Women Professional League sides; Police Machine Queens, FC Robo and Tokas Queens will take the center stage in the first semi final while the winners between Aara Queens and Yaba Queens will lock horns with Tokas Queens on Wednesday.

 Ogunyale enjoined women football enthusiasts in the state to storm the venue of the competition to cheer the ladies in their quest for laurels.

“The draws for conducted at the Lagos State Football Association Secretariat in Onikan, yesterday (Thursday) and the competition promises to be exciting with the caliber of teams that will be on parade,” he assured.
