Portsmouth FC Sets For Eko Football Festival

The youth team of the England Championship side, Portsmouth Football Club has joined the growing list of participating teams for the maiden Eko Football Festival which slated for September.

The Chairman, Lagos State Football Association, LSFA, Seyi Akinwunmi delivered this joyful news on Wednesday while addressing Media Committee members of the Eko Football Festival in his office at Onikan.

“I’m delighted to inform you that Portsmouth FC youth team has confirmed their readiness to participate in the Eko Football Festival.

“We strongly believe that this event will bring out the glamour and aesthetic value of Lagos State as we are also looking forward to host the Soccerex Seminar Lagos in September.

“We hereby welcome Portsmouth FC for believing us,” he enthused.

Liverpool FC, Sunderland FC, Supersport of South Africa, Marcel Desailly Academy from Ghana and other top teams have indicated their willingness to participate in the tournament.
