Royal Hoopers Protest Referee Decision.

Royal Hoopers Basketball Club has forwarded the protest to the technical committee of the Nigeria Basketball Federation,NBBF,for denying the team a victory in a crucial match against Kano Pillars basketball club.
Sportsweight.blogspot, reports that Royal Hoopers basketball club were denied two points at stoppage time when the game stood at 54 points to 53, in favour of Kano Pillars but the Hoopers basketball two points would have crowned Royal Hoopers as the inner by 54 points to 53.
The match commissioner, Aliu Mohammed, said the referees assigned to officiate the match complied with the rules and regulations of the sports as he explained that the game had been concluded in the duration time before Royal Hooper made a basketball. Mohammed, said the referees consulted him and the technical officials of what happened the match was awarded the Kano Pillars basketball club that now top its group after three victories.
To avoid future recurrence, the match commissioner advised the NBBF to acquire modern timing device unlike the improvised timing system which paved the way for the controversy over the ball was a basketball point or not. Kano Pillars Head Coach, Ibrahim Maku, said Royal Hoopers took the basket when the referee had already called off the match.
