What A Stupid NFF Apology.

The Competitions Department of Nigeria Football Federation has apologized profusely for the erroneous fixtures of semi final matches of this year’s Federation Cup competition which it released to the public on Tuesday.

 Director of Competitions, Mohammed Sanusi said the officer concerned has already been relieved of his duties and will be sanctioned by the Federation as he implored all the teams concerned, State FAs and stakeholders to always contact the Director of Competitions on all details.

 Sanusi announced that the correct fixtures will see Lobi Stars of Makurdi, which defeated Sharks FC of Port Harcourt in the quarter final played in Bauchi,take on Kano Pillars next Wednesday at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar while defending champions Heartland up against Prime FC of Oshogbo next Wednesday at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

“We apologize profusely to all the teams and football stakeholders for the error made in those fixtures, and this will never happen again. The Officer made a mistake in the tabulation and this is unacceptable.We implore all the teams concerned, State FAs and stakeholders to always contact the Director of Competitions on all details heceforth,” said Sanusi.

Heartland F.C ejected Crown FC of Ogbomosho in Port Harcourt, where the Naze Millionaires emerged centre Kings, and Prime FC,champions of the Ibadan centre, stunned two-time African champions Enyimba FC of Aba.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Heartland FC of Owerri, the reigning champions, will tackle Prime FC of Oshogbo at the Ilorin Township Stadium on Wednesday, August 15 while Lobi Stars will confront Kano
Pillars at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar on the same day, ” Dr. Sanusi explained further.

 All four teams are already bound for the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere for the grand finale on Sunday, August 26, with the Loser’s Final starting at 2pm while the Final match will kick off at 4pm.
