The return leg of the International Friendly between the Ghana's Under 20 Women National Teams and Nigeria's Falconets scheduled for today in Accra will go ahead as planned.
Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Dilichukwu Onyedinma who made this known, said fears had emerged that the match might be cancelled following the sudden death of Ghana President, Professor John Atta Mills of acute cardiac attack.
Onyedinma who is the leader of delegation, said the Ghana F.A had assured that the friendly would be played today and that the Falconets had been charged to forget about the defeat to Ghana in the first leg played on Tuesday but brace up for the match which they have promised to win in order to redeem the nation's image.
"We have just been informed by the Ghana FA that the game will still be played on today,"said Onyedinma who is the leader of delegation.
Falconets lost the first leg played on Tuesday afternoon 3-2.
This would be Nigeria's first loss at the age grade category to one of its closest rivals.
"We have spoken to the girls to forget the loss and brace up for the today's game which they have promised to win in order to redeem the nation's image," she added.
Both countries will be representing Africa at next month's FIFA Under 20 Women's World Cup in Japan.
