With University of Lagos most of the athletes during the festival, Adebayo, believed that athletes should be comfortable in a bid to enable them to give their optimum performance during the games, hence the reason they are  giving them the best.

Majority of the athletes will be camped in Unilag while Yaba College of Technology and the Federal College of Education will accommodate the remaining athletes.

She added: “We have renovated the accommodation venues and this is a plus for the schools because when the students return, they will enjoy better facilities in their hostels.”

Secretary of the sub-committee, Uthman Okunu, stated that they had held a meeting with the security sub-committee to ensure that there is 24-hour security during the duration of the national showpiece.

He said representatives of 18 states would inspect the festival facilities on Wednesday, adding that the accommodation/welfare, venues/facilities, catering/feeding and transportation/traffic control sub-committees would conduct the states round the facilities.

Also, a member of the sub-committee, Abiodun Ogunrinde, added that, “beds, mattresses have been replaced at the accommodation venues. We observed that we need to power electricity at these venues and
