Lawal Attributes His Woeful Performance To Lack Of Competitions.

Nigerian ace tennis player,Shehu Lawal,has attributed his woeful performance in the first leg of the 12th edition of Governor's Tennis Lagos Cup to lack of regular competitions.

 Lawal,who informed Sportsweight.blogspot.com,that he had not featured in any organized tennis competition apart from the last concluded CBN tennis championship said early ouster in the first leg Governor Tennis Lagos Cup gave him the chance to prepare for the second leg which began on Monday at the Lagos lawn Tennis Court,Onikan.

 The Nigeria tennis player whos target is to reach the semi-final,said he was not scared of competing with any of the top seeded foreign tennis player stand a better chance of winning the annual international tennis federation approved event based on their exposure to international tennis circuits.

 He appealed to the Nigeria Tennis Federation,NTF,to assist Nigerians tennis players to attract corporate sponsors or Sports philanthropists to support them to participate in international tennis circuits to acquire ITF points and also to pave the way for them to meet with world's best tennis players.
