BRF Wrestlemania Intercontinental Championship Starts In July.

The third edition of the annual BRF wrestlemania intercontinental championship will hold in July as the organisers commence earnest preparations to ensure another successful event this year.

The international championship which debut in 2011 brought wrestling stars from different continents to Lagos and they competed for honours with local wrestlers and in the 2nd edition held late last year was an home affair and the best of Nigerians wrestlers scrabbled for different titles at the indoor sports hall of the Teslim balogun stadium, surulere. 

President of the Nigeria Wrestling federation, Prince Hammed Mohammed Olanrewaju who is also the initiator and coordinator of the BRF Wrestlemania said alot of Nigerians have been assisted and empowered through the championship.

"The previous editions of the tournament has produced nothing less 70 wrestlers that can represent Nigeria in any part of the world and also has assist 32 wrestlers today that are based ion abroad in the area of their wrestling careers both professional and amateur. Some are in the UK, some are based in Germany and others are in the United state of America and Canada. Through this BRF Wrtestlemania, all this achievement has came through" said the NWF boss.

Prince Mohammed who is also the vice president of the Current World wrestling Federation said the tournament will be held in honour of the sports loving governor to appreciate his good work and he will given the good governance award before the championship in July.

He added "People love the championship especially when they hear the name of his excellency, governor Fashola. They think about the good work of the governor and all the good thing he has and honouring him through the most entertaining sports and praising the work of his excellency." 

The Nigeria wrestling Federation has the mandate to support  the government to develop the nation and also use it groom the sport and assist Nigerians. "The good governance and peace award for all the preforming governors in Nigeria but the number one governor to have this award is the governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Fashola and that award will be presented to him before the next edition of the tournament in July" Mohammed added

The NWF boss revealed that the king of Wrestlemania, the mighty Undertaker will lead other stars across the world to Lagos for the championship in two months time. "
