Governor Babatunde Fashola To Unveil Adopted Athletes.

Governor Of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, will officially unveil the adopted athletes of the State’s Adopt- A-Talent Sports Program on Thursday, 30thieth of May, 2013.

The athletes, forty out of one hundred and seventy, who are currently under the care of the Management Committee of the programme, will be presented to the public by Governor Fashola during an elaborate ceremony at Alausa, Ikeja.

Fourteen Nigerians, had earlier adopted thirty nine of these athletes, but the number has increased to forty as a very young bank executive shown interest in one athlete in Athletics. 

The Management Committee of the program says all logistics to ensure a successful unveiling have been put in place even as more sponsors are coming to show interests in the young and promising athletes.

The Committee, however, would wish more sponsors to positively support either in team or individual sports athletes of the remaining 130 already penciled down for adoption.

The breakdown of recommended athletes for adoption per sport shows that Athletics has eight , four basketball players, three Boxers,  five Football players, three Gymnasts, three Judokas , two Karate athletes,  five Swimmers, five Table Tennis players and two Volleyball players.
