All is now set for Nigerian
young ambassadors to take on the rest of the world at the U.S Kids
European Golf Championships which takes place in Gullane, Scotland.
The 3
day tournament starts on May 29-30 and will be played in Gullane's best
course and feature over 500 children from 30 different countries.
Gullane is minutes drive from Murifield where this year's Bristish Open
Major championships will take place.
Chairman Board of Directors and
Director of the KGI Academy, HRH Oba Taiwo Thompson will be leading a
delegation of the young talents to the event. The young talents who
qualified to attend the world class event in Gullane are Georgia Oboh,
Anita Uwadia, Chinwe Obuaya, Kenile Offili, Jordan Thompson, Manji
Gimsay, Diana Osmond, Chiemere Isife, Paul Odoh, Osiregbeme
Egbakhumeh and Samuel Manchang.
The players were mainly from Ikoyi Club
1938, Enugu Golf Club, Sagamu Golf Club, Kaduna Golf Club and Rayfield

Commenting on the players, HRH Oba Thompson
is very delighted at the calibre of the players. In his words, this team
are dedicated and have been working hard and homing in on their skills
despite their tight schedules on school work.
I am confident that the
Nigerian team will come home with lots of silverware and their
performance will place Nigeria on the Junior World of Golf map.
The players and their parents
or chaperons are set to travel out the country week commencing 20th to
enable time to settle and practice in Gullane.
