Ikorodu Divisional Football Association Commends Management Of Kunbi Place

Two grassroot football clubs, Ayinde F.C and 1960 Lowa F.C have qualified for the second round of Ikorodu Five-A-Side Football Clubs tournament which started on Saturday at Kunbi’s Place Ikorodu.
The tournament which kicked-off with group A matches consisting of four teams saw Ayinde F.C securing nine points from three round robin matches while 1960 Lowa F.C clinched the second position with six points.
Competition coordinator, Lukmon Shonibare, who commended the organizer for deeming it necessary to stage the five-a-side competition, said the tournament would serve as a preparation towards season six, MTN Lagos street soccer championship scheduled to start this year.
Shonibare, who want a team from Ikorodu to be among the winning team that would go for foreign training tour, said apart from enabling the Ikorodu based teams to acquit themselves with the rules and regulations of Futsal football, the teams stood the chance to record excellence performance at the Nigeria Football Federation proposed five-a-side football league.
The secretary of Ikorodu Divisional football Association, said immediately at the ongoing competition, the management of Kunbi’s place had concluded plans to organize a seminar in conjunction with the association so as to fortify the teams ahead of season six, MTN Lagos street Soccer championship.
