Lam- Adeshina Honours Oyo State Referees Council With One Million Naira.

 Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Adedapo Lam-Adesina has again restated the undying commitment of the State Government towards the development of all Sports in the state.

The Commissioner stated this while presenting a cheque of One Million Naira to the Oyo State Referees Council on behalf of Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi in his office to support the ‘Fair play’ household in the state.

He said Oyo State is ready to partner with individuals, Associations and Corporate organizations in the area of Sports development.

The Sports Commissioner commended Referee Council for the success of the recently concluded Annual General Meeting hosted in Ibadan while he also challenged them to develop grassroots football. He added that the state government is ever ready to support ideas that will move football forward to greater height.

Responding, the Chairman, Oyo Referees Council, Mr. Layi Olaogun thanked the state Government for the unprecedented gesture which he said will go a long way in assisting the Council. He commended the Commissioner for his effort at developing Sports in the state while also promising that the Council will do more better in football developments.
