The Chairman of the Nigeria Women Football League Chief  Dilichukwu Onyedinma has warned the management of Sunshine Queens of Akure and its State Football Association to take the issue of security at its match venue serious or risk been banish to an alternative venue.

The League Management blame the State FA over the lapses that led to the last two home matches involving Sunshine Queens ending in fracas.

These events they said are as a result of poor management on the part of the Ondo State Football Association and the Management of the Sunshine Queens.

Quoting the words of the Board Chairman, Dilichukwu Onyedinma, "we can no longer tolerate that from the Ondo State Football Association, and the Management of Sunshine Queens. We would be forced to banish the team to another venue if such incidents occurred at their match venue. The FA should take the issue of security very serious, and ensure that both the home and away teams including all the officiating officials are well protected all through the matches".

She also warned the visiting teams and players not to take laws into their hands by attacking referees or abandoning of matches at little provocation "football breed friendships and should not be taken as a do-or die affair. Home teams should always be good host to their visitors, because they would also visit the other teams at their home ground at a later date. We would not tolerate a situation where a woman player would attack a referee for whatever cause" she warned.

Sunshine Queens have had two of its last home matches abandoned in very controversial ways. Their Week 10 match against Ibom Queens ended in fracas after a player was alleged to have assaulted the referee which led the fans to encroach into the field of play.

In their Week 11 match against the Rivers Angels at the same venue, the visitors was said to have abandoned the match in a controversial way.
