The former Abiola Babes football club players have showered praises on late M.K.O Abiola for adding values to their lives while playing and after their active days of soccer.

Shofoluwe, who acknowledged late M.K.O. Abiola as his father, said the chairman of defunct Abiola Babes paved the way for them to live a fulfilled life as a football player, adding that the M.K.O. Abiola soccer competition was an avenue for them to meet and reflect on their past while playing for Abiola Babes.
Raymond King, a goalkeeper, described the competition as an avenue for them to meet again after years of active football.
He thanked Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola for deeming it necessary to stage the event annually through the office of senior special assistant on grassroot sports.
King, who delighted for winning te challenge cup against BBC Lions of Gboko in 1985, and challenge Cup against Ranchers Bees in 1987, said losing to Leventis in the find of 1986 challenge cup where Toyin Ayinla nodded past him the ball that resorted to the only goal of the match.
