The Winners of the 2013 NNPC/Shell Cup, Purple Krown College, Enugu were today presented with the sum of N2.5m being the 1st Prize money of the Championship. Making the presentation to the Hon. Commissioner of Education, Enugu state Dr. Simon Otuanya who represented the govnr of Enugu state at occasion, Mr. Peter Ademu-Etteh of SPDC congratulated the Govt and people of Enugu state for the wonderful performance of the school. He went further to state that NNPC/Shell and her joint venture partners are committed to empowerment of Nigeria youths. The Commissioner thanked the sponsors for their sustainable efforts on their social responsibility to the community and urge them not to relent in their efforts. He urged other schools to emulate purple Krown College by winning laurels for the state in various sports competitions. The delegation later paid a visit to the school where the students treated them to series of entertaining programmes like Cultural dance, drama, jokes and educational presentations. The Director of the School Mr. Wale Alao expressed his appreciation to the Shell and NNPC officials that made the trip to honour his school.
