Etisalat Nigeria Commends Organisers Of Governor's Cup Tennis Lagos.

The management of Etisalat Nigeria, has expressed its happiness in partnering with the Lagos State Government to sponsor the annual Governor's Cup Tennis Lagos.
Its Acting Chief Executive Officer, Mathew Willsher, made this statement on Monday at the telecommunication's Lagos office, in Ikoyi, when the tournament's Local Organising Committee, led by the tournament's director,Prince Wale Oladunjoye and some selected tennis players paid him a courtesy visit.
"We at Etisalat are delighted to support the Govenor's Cup Tennis Lagos for a period of five years which is significant to the existence of the company in Nigeria", he said
"The competition is one of the prestigious tennis competitions in Nigeria, Africa."Etisalat Nigeria, is happy to part of the tournament's successful story".
While commending the tournament's Local Organising Committee, for adding values to the growth of tennis through the competition, said the competition which was one of the prestigious tennis tournaments in Africa, had attracted great international tennis players to Nigeria.
Willsher who doubles as Etisalat Nigeria, Chief Commercial Officer, said the company might endorsed some of the Nigerian tennis players who performed beyond expectations, stressing that the gesture was to help them to garner International Tennis Federation,ITF, points.
The tournament's Director, Prince Wale Oladunjoye, says the visit is to appreciate and also commend the company's efforts in supporting the L.O.C to add value to the growth of tennis.
Some of the Nigerian tennis stars who spoke with sportsweight.blogspot.com, appreciated the unflinching support of Etisalat Nigeria in providing an amicable environment for them to participate in the competition which has attracted over thirty countries(30).
The tennis players however, appeal to the company to kindly assist them to feature in some ITF approved circuits apart from the Governor's Cup Tennis Lagos, not for the money st stake but to enable them to acquire points to improve their ITF rankings.
