Governor's Cup Tennis: Am Not Afraid Of Jeevan Nedunchezhyan, Says Shehu Lawal.

As the second round of the 13th edition of the Governor's Cup Tennis Lagos, begins on Wednesday at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, Nigeria's sensational tennis player, Shehu Lawal, has declared that he is not afraid of playing against the tournament's number three seed, Jeevan Nedunchezhyan of India in the Men's Singles event.

Lawal, who prays to be in good frame of mind against the Indian tennis player,says he expects a good match from his opponent who is among the top rated foreign players in the competition.

According to the Men's Singles fixtures, a Nigerian tennis player,Kehinde Alade will challenge the tournament's number six seed, Ruan Roelofse of South African. 

Tournament's seed one, Borna Coric of Croatia, who won the first leg in the Men's Singles will play against Theophilr Segodo of Benin Republic. 

In the Women's Singles fixtures,Nina Bratchikova of Russia will test the might of Jasmin Steinherr of Germany, while Simmonds Channel of South Africa will take on Giora Barbieri of Germany.

Dalila jakupovic of Slovakia will confront Anna Morgina of Russia, just as Christina Dinu of Romania and Maria Sakkari of Greece, will play each other

In some of the games played on Tuesday in the Men's Singles, Andre Gaspar Murta of Portugal defeated Samuel Omoile 6-3,6-3

Ranjeet Verali Muguresan of India defeated Josep Imeh-Ubon 7-5,4-6,6-luv, while Ruan Roelofse of South Africa beat Nonso Madueke 6-1,6-3

Borna Coric of Croatia beat Emmanuel Idoko 6-1,6-1, just as Alexis kleodu of Benin beat Mark Fynn of Zimbabwe 6-3,6-4

In the Women's Singles,Cristina Dinu of Romania beat Aminat Quadri 6- luv,6- luv,
Tadeja Majeric beat Blessing Anuna 6- luv,6- luv,Dalila Jakupovic of Slovakia defeated Sarah Adegoke 6-0,6-1

Channel Simmonds of South Africa beat Rishka Sunkara of India 6-3,6-3, Noami Broady of Britain beat Smriti Joon of India 6-2,6-1 while Swiss Conny Perrin beat Nidhi Chimula of India 6-1,6-1
