Former champions of the MTN Lagos Street Soccer Championships will this weekend compete for the title in the round of 16 of the popular Five- A-Side football competition.
The teams are, Koilo Street from Lagos Island East’s,Lawal Akapo street from Apapa and Koilo street two from Lagos Island West as they will join 13 other teams.
The sixteen teams have been drawn into four groups of four teams each, while the best two teams in each group will advance to the last eight of the championship.
Also this weekend, 24 teams will compete in the Under 15 junior category, while sixteen teams will also jostle in the female division.
According to the Secretary General of the Local Organising Committee (LOC),Deji Aladegbemi, the tournament promises to be exciting as the best teams are expected to make to the grand finale holding next week.
