Competitions coordinator, Uthman Ola-Okunu, while speaking on the competition, said the huge success of maiden edition won by Messiah Football Club attracted ninety-six grassroot football clubs to be part of a tournament which has been rated the best organised grassroot.
According to Okunu, the essence of partnering with the Divisional Football Associations was to give football players across the state the opportunity to showcase their God's giving talents and also to discover talents who might form the nucleus of Lagos State Football ahead of the National Sports Festival in Calabar, Cross-River State.
Country Manager, Kalbe International, Didik Novandi, who noted that the company's mission was to improve health for a better life said the company decided to define into sponsoring the football championship because of the enormous football talents abound in Nigeria as he stressed that Indonesia would have been a great football playing if it have half of Nigerian skillful players.
Novandi, who is happy over the feat recorded by Nigeria's Golden Eaglets at the just concluded FIFA under 17 World Cup in United Arab Emirates, said Kalba International wanted to prove its continuous support for sports in Lagos State with season 2, Extra Joss soccer championship which start today with matches in the Badagry Divisional Football.
In a bid to make the competition keenly contested for, the country manager, says plans are in top gear to make available cash prize and trophies to eventual winners of each DFA's.

Meanwhile, the Season 2, Extra Joss Soccer Championship will kick- off on Tuesday with matches at the Badagry Divisional Football Association,BDFA as a total of one hundred and twenty- eight teams are expected to compete in the tournament.
According to the fixtures, 32 teams from BDFA will vye for honour at the FHA playground, Festac Town and French Village, playground, Badagry.
Ikeja Divisional Football Association,IDFA and Lagos Divisional Football Association,LDFA, will present 32 teams each just as Epe Divisional Football Association,EDFA and Ikorodu Divisional Football Association,IDFA, will present sixteen teams each.
After the round of matches at the DFA's level, eight teams will emerge for the quarter final of which the qualified teams will be paired into groups of four teams.
One million naira goes to the eventual winner, five hundred thousand naira (500.000.00) to the first runner- up, three hundred thousand naira( 300.000.00) for the second runner- up while the fourth placed team gets One hundred thousand naira(100.000.00).
The final comes up on Sunday, 15th of December, 2013, at the Campos Stadium, Marina, Lagos Island.
